SYDNEY, May 12, 2022 - xTom has successfully migrated from Equinix SY3 data centre in Sydney to the larger Equinix SY5, and successfully connected to ChinaNet AS4134, CN2 GIA AS4809 of China Telecom, AS10099 of China Unicom Global, and the network services of Telstra AS4637, an Australian telecommunications company. In addition, xTom has also joined the Equinix Internet Exchange and established two Private Network Interconnects (PNI) with Google.
Equinix SY5 is the newest and largest data centre in Sydney. Upon full completion, it will have 9,220 cabinets. It benefits from direct fibre Cross-Connects with IBX data centres SY1/2/3/4, the site of the most extensive customer ecosystems in Australia. The data centre meets N+1 standards for power redundancy and cooling system configurations and has numerous certifications such as SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22301 and ISO 14001, among others.
